Footprints without feet.

  FOOTPRINTS WITHOUT FEET

It is a story of a brilliant scientist. His name was Griffin. He discovered a rare drug.  It could make an unclothed man invisible .Griffin was disliked by his landlord.

He wanted to eject Griffin out of his house. Griffin was a revengeful man. He set the house of his landlord on fire. Then he took the drug. He revomed clothes. He became invisible.

Griffin now began to wander about in the streets of London . He no money. He had no clothes. The air was very cold. He   hepppened to step in mud. He left muddy footprints behind. Two followed footprints. The footprints disappeared.

As it very cold , he decided to enter a big London store warmth .The doors were closed.He broke open boxes and wrappedrs. He put on warm clothes, shoes and a hat.

 He ate cold meat,  took coffee and wine. Then he slept in quilts.

The next morning the store was opened but, he was still asleep. When the servents came near him, his eyes opened. He ran. The servents ran after him.He took off his clothes.

 became invisible and saved himself. Once again he was naked in the cold January. He entered stock of a theatrical company. He stole dark glasses, a false nose and whisters to cover his face and head.

He hit the shopkeeper and stole his money. Griffin wanted to leave London. He took a train to the village Iping. He hired two rooms in the inn of Iping. Hedid not talk to anyone. He told the landlady Mrs.Hall that he loved solitude. Soon the stolen money was spent. He took off his clothes and became invisible. He stole the money from a clergyman’s desk.

 The clergyman and his wife heared the chink of money. But they found no one in the room. The money was missing all the same.Mrs.Hall saw the door of the room of the scientist wide open next morning. She and her husband tried to search his room.  She heared a sniff near her ear. Soon the hat on the bedpost leapt up and struck her face. The chair rose up and pushed them out of the room. People began to suspect that Griffin had a hand in the theft of the clergyman.

 constable sent for. Meanwhile Mrs. Hall picked up a quarrel with the scientist. He removed the articles from his face and head .He was now a headless person . The constable arrived.

He tried to grasp the headless person. He became more and more invisible. He hit the people. They were frightened Mr. Jaffer the constable was knocked down unconscious.The invisible get free for always.
